By 2026, the company aims to create at least 180 jobs, with the potential to increase this figure to 342.

The corporate investment in the project stands at $176 million initially, with the possibility of reaching up to $238.4 million. This significant investment underscores the company’s commitment to expanding its North American footprint and supporting its diverse range of products and services.

Liebherr has chosen The HIVE Business Park in Tupelo, Mississippi, as the site for its new campus. The 118-acre site will host over 1 million square feet of building space.

The project’s first phase involves constructing a state-of-the-art logistics center. This center is set to be a hub for the company’s distribution and logistics operations, especially for after-sales services. Future phases will see the construction of more facilities to support other product lines.

Local and State Support

The Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) is playing a crucial role by providing assistance through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive program (MFLEX).

The MDA is also helping with the construction and equipping of the facilities. Additionally, local support is coming from Lee County, the city of Tupelo, and Accelerate MS.

This collective effort highlights the region’s business-friendly environment and commitment to economic development.
