Mississippi is getting a big boost with nearly $7 million spread across 17 airports for improvements.
This money, given by the Federal Aviation Administration, will help upgrade runways, taxiways, and lighting. It will also buy new safety and navigation equipment.
Senator Roger Wicker said these updates would make traveling safer and could help Mississippi grow economically. He believes these changes will be valuable for the state’s future.
